I was interested in buying a home in Newton and a friend of mine referred me to Rita Lu.  I met with Rita to tell her what kind of home I was looking for and she immediately set me up to receive email alerts on properties that met my criteria.  Prior to working with Rita, I was having difficulty staying ahead of the real estate game – listings would come on and go off the market before I could even get any information on the properties.  Once I got on Rita’s list and she knew what I was looking for – she gave me a jump start on knowing what properties were coming on the market and then I was better able to react quickly to properties that were interesting.  Also when I told Rita which properties I was interested in she responded very quickly and set up appointments so that we wouldn’t miss any opportunities.  She also would give me a call or email me when she saw listings that she thought would best meet my criteria.

My other challenge with the current market was “getting my offer accepted”.  With such a competitive market – I was also having difficulty getting an offer accepted because there is so much competition out there.  When the house of my dreams came on the market – Rita moved quickly to get us into the home.  We fell in love with it and she pulled together an offer for us.  But she also included a narrative about us and our situation in order to boost our chances of getting our offer accepted.  And guess what – our offer was ACCEPTED!!  I still can’t believe that we were the lucky ones that were able to close on this amazing home in such a competitive market.  I absolutely have to credit Rita’s tenacity and professionalism with our good fortune.  She was extremely helpful every step of the way, including during the P&S negotiations.  I felt very comfortable through the P&S negotiations because of Rita’s past experience as a lawyer.  I felt like I had a realtor, a lawyer and a friend looking out for me!  I would highly recommend Rita to anyone who is looking to buy a home – I was so ecstatic at the outcome of working with Rita and the purchase of our new home!

Rita was our buyer's broker for our recent home purchase. She answered every request and question we had, and was readily available every step of the way.  She sent us appropriate listings, flagged the ones that met our criteria the closest, set up appointments to see homes on short notice, helped us craft an offer when we were ready to buy (it was accepted), and she followed through every detail of the purchase process to ensure that the sale went through. Rita's law experience was particularly helpful during the offer and Purchase and Sale phase because she explained the contract terms and inserted clauses that protected us. This work was done prior to getting our closing attorney involved. Rita was a pleasure to work with, and very professional.
